Questions

The questions people actually ask. Answered straight.

Including the ones you might feel awkward asking out loud. Ask them anyway — a firm worth using will have a clear answer.

Before you pay anything

How do I know exactly what I am paying for?

Before any work starts you get a written retainer that itemises the service, the fee, what is included and what is not. Nothing begins until you have read it and signed it. If a fee is not written in that document, you do not owe it.

When do I pay, and what happens to my documents?

Payments are staged against the work, not taken in one lump at the start, and every payment gets a receipt. Your original documents stay with you wherever possible; where an original genuinely has to be submitted, you get written acknowledgement of exactly what we hold and when it comes back.

If my visa is refused, do I get my money back?

In most circumstances, yes — what you have paid us is refundable. Where any part of a fee is not refundable, we tell you at the consultation, we tell you again at the retainer stage, and it is written into the signed agreement before you pay anything. There are no surprises later. The one thing nobody can return is money paid to someone else: government and embassy fees, biometrics, medicals and courier charges are paid directly to those bodies and are not ours to refund.

Who will actually be handling my file?

A named person in our Sector 17-C office, whom you can call, message or walk in and see. You will not be passed between people who have not read your file.

Can you guarantee my visa? Some places promise it.

No, and be careful of anyone who says otherwise. The decision belongs to a visa officer applying that country’s rules to your documents; no consultant anywhere has the power to guarantee it. What we can do is make sure the file in front of that officer is the strongest honest version of your case — and tell you before you spend anything if we do not think it is ready.

Can you get it done faster, or through a contact?

No. Processing times belong to the mission and there is no legitimate shortcut around them. Anyone offering one is describing something that would put your application, and your future travel history, at serious risk.

Is the first consultation really free?

Yes. Fifteen minutes, in the office or on WhatsApp, at no cost and with no obligation to go further. You leave knowing what your file needs, whether or not you use us.

Your application

I have been refused before. Is it worth trying again?

Often yes, but the new application has to answer the reason for the last one directly. Bring the refusal letter and the officer’s notes if you can obtain them. What you must never do is leave a previous refusal off a form — every application asks, and an undisclosed refusal is treated as misrepresentation, which is far more damaging than the original refusal.

How much money do I need to show?

It depends on the country, the course and how many people are travelling. What matters as much as the amount is that the funds are genuinely yours, have been held long enough, and that every large credit can be traced to a source. Recent unexplained deposits are one of the most common reasons a file gets questioned.

I have a study gap. Does that rule me out?

No, but it has to be explained with evidence — employment records, a business, family circumstances. An unexplained gap is a frequent refusal ground; an explained one usually is not.

Do I need IELTS or PTE?

For most study routes to Canada, Australia, the UK and New Zealand, yes, though the accepted test and score depend on the institution. Some destinations and programmes accept alternatives. We will tell you which applies to you.

How long does a visa take?

Processing times are set by each authority and change without notice. We will give you the current published range for your destination and category at your file check rather than quote a number that may already be out of date.

Scope and practicalities

Do you arrange jobs or work permits abroad?

No. Recruitment for employment abroad is regulated in India under the Emigration Act, 1983 and requires registration with the Protector General of Emigrants. We hold no such registration, so we do not offer work permits, job placement or offer letters. We handle study, visitor, family and permanent residence applications.

Which countries do you work with?

Thirty-seven: the Five Eyes countries, all twenty-nine Schengen states, the UAE, Singapore and South Africa — study and visitor routes for each.

Do I have to come to the office?

No. We look after clients across Punjab, Haryana, Himachal and beyond by phone and WhatsApp. But if you are in the Tricity, sitting down with your documents in Sector 17-C is the fastest way to a straight answer.

Are you lawyers?

No. Mannz Immigration is an immigration and visa consultancy, not a legal practice, and nothing on this website creates an advocate-client relationship.

Anything still unclear? Fifteen minutes on WhatsApp costs you nothing, and you leave knowing where you stand.
